Gilda Balass stands for longlivety, natural and recycled materials. Every item is handmade and one of a kind. The aim is to find back to our ancestral roots, and combining ancient knowledge with modern Zeitgeist. As we are all rooting in nomadism, Gilda’s focus isn’t set to only one culture or region, but always going with flow of life. Each collection is made in collaboration with artists and artisans around the world.

Gilda Balass is a fashion designer, textile and multidisciplinary artist who graduated in 2019 from Fashion Design with Knitwear at Central Saint Martins London, University of the Arts.

With a diversity of roots tracing back to the east of Europe, a tiny bit to North Africa and the Swiss mountains, Gilda is very driven to history and the various ethnological spectrum of cultures, going back to the origin of being. She translates profound impressions of human nature into textiles, hand knotted carpets and recently also into ceramics.

Gildas philosophy consists of living with less waste material as possible. Her Focus lies on sustainability, longevity and unique quality of each piece.

She puts emphasis on multiple purpose whilst using or wearing the art piece.
